SovLabs Plugin 2020.6.0 Release Notes

Today, we have released the SovLabs Plugin version 2020.4.0 for vRA7.x to General Availability. Below is a bullet point summary of the software release.

 

All 2020.x releases will require a SovLabs 2020.x License Key.  

Please contact your SovLabs Account Manager to obtain a new key or open a ticket.

 

Features

Ansible Tower

  • Added – IPAM/DNS request allocation of additional IP addresses beyond the normal 10 NIC addresses for a single VM during the provision/deprovision lifecycle.  Documentation here.
    • Support for all SovLabs IPAM and DNS modules
    • Requires Property Toolkit module licensed
    • The additional IP addresses are not associated to a VM Networking Configuration
  • Added – Support for Red Hat Satellite 6.5
  • Added – Support for SolarWinds 4.9

 

Resolved Issues

Ansible Tower

  • Fixed – Dynamic Inventory deprovision cache doesn’t allow hostname re-use

Lifecycle Components Toolkit (LCT)

  • Fixed – Unable to add a LCT Profile when tagging isn’t used

ServiceNow Connector

  • Fixed – Support for sending special characters in payload (&, *, etc)

Veeam BaaS

  • Fixed – Change Backup Jobs presentation fails when Veeam API returns empty XML with Status 200

 

Known Issues

Ansible 3.6 is not fully supported by SovLabs at this time.  Our team is working towards supporting Ansible Tower 3.6 with the next GA release.  Users who leverage a single credential should not have an issue, only those using an array or Vault credentials appear to be impacted.

Important Notes:

VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) 7.4 and 7.5 Notice. On December 17, 2020, VMware is ending general support for vRA 7.4/7.5

 

vRA 7.5 Notice

The minimum SovLabs plug-in version compatible for VMware’s vRA 7.5 is 2018.2.6.

vRA 7.6 Notice

The minimum SovLabs plug-in version compatible for VMware’s vRA 7.6 is 2019.8.0.
